St. Augustine School’s Science Fair

Posted on July 14, 2014 by - Uncategorized

St. Augustine School’s Science Fair was held over the last 2 days. The children were very much engaged in their projects and were all eager to describe what they had done. Of course, Dahlia was busy getting her hands into the practical side of things. I had my doubts at the beginning but felt quite proud that she had something looking like play dough at the end. And she did it all on her own.

Some child came by referring to me as Jordan’s mommy and Dahlia quickly spoke up. “No! That’s my Auntie Grace and if you give her any trouble you’ll have to deal with me.” And not once did she stop working on her dough when she said this. You will notice that Dahlia is much smaller than the other kids!

I was quite pleased to see what the graduating class had accomplished during their sewing sessions. Anjanique made her skirt for Secondary School. It’s the second from the left in the photo. They also did some very nice embroidery. A couple of boys were in the class and one made his school shirt for Secondary. I was very impressed.
